Beginning in 2005, Barbara Davis, close friend and mentor of Anne, contacted various others in hopes of establishing a loosely affiliated group of writers to meet semi-regularly to encourage and embolden one another to pursue individual writing projects. We started by meeting once every three or four weeks. Currently, we meet at various locations in Charlotte, Michigan on Saturday mornings to discuss our writing, our hopes, our dreams, and any other topic of interest….but always, we return to our writing as a means of expressing ourselves. We have both poetry and prose writers that meet regularly to exchange ideas and critique our work. Our standing advice to each other is to come when we can and if no one else shows up, use the morning to WRITE.
