About Anne
Anne has on occasion been accused of speaking gibberish, particularly when addressing her students. She has worked for six years teaching Literature and Composition and tutoring all subjects at the Western Options High School, a school that offers students the opportunity for new life when the traditional high school has failed to enable them to learn.
In a prior life she worked in university, high school and public libraries in order to feed her hunger for all things textual. Her knowledge of poetry is self-taught, inspired by the Psalmists initially, lately with a particular bent towards modernists beginning with the Imagist poets. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University to which she added an English degree plus Secondary Education from Olivet College, (Olivet, Michigan). Anne just completed her Master of Education degree in Alternative Education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
She lives in Eaton Rapids, Michigan with her husband Mike, five children (currently ages 12 to 22), Thor the Chihuahua, and their cats, Holly and Maxwell.
